The dress hunt begins

Posted by on Jan 13, 2012 in Wedding | 0 comments

I've spent a lot of this morning searching Yelp and other sites for reviews on the Bridal stores closest to me. Justin has a 'rule of thumb' when it comes to review sites, that is "People will only ever complain, very few post positive reviews." This is very true, I've waded through poor review, bad review and some outright awful reviews. One particular store that got an atrocious review on Yelp was one that I was actually very shocked to see. Alfred Angelo Bridal.   The wedding dress ... Read More

Goal Number One – Hair Care

Posted by on Jan 9, 2012 in Beautiful You & Me | 0 comments

I stated in my earlier posting, New Years Resolution? Not Me, that I had set myself a goal to repair all the damage to my hair created via years of constant abuse. Let me start from the beginning. History This is me at four years old; wasn't I a cutie? That's my natural hair. I was born dark, went light and it eventually turned to a dark blonde/light brown. Fast forward a few years and at eleven I started taking an interest in how I looked. I was in my first year of secondary school, and the ... Read More

Sword2: Masters, Experts and New Content

Well, well, well. I haven't see the likes of you around here in a while. To be honest it is my fault..yet again. A new update from the Adventures of AutumnFae has been long in the making. Firstly- I have been set up and AFKing a little, granted less than I normally would but I've been sucked into the realms of Skyrim and Asssassin's Creed: Revelations. Oh I am addicted, it's so wrong of me! Though I don't feel like I've betrayed Sword at all from leaving it in a corner to play by itself, I feel.. ... Read More

New Years Resolution? Not me.

Posted by on Jan 3, 2012 in Life of Mine | 0 comments

I posted last year about the New Years mentality, well it's that time of the year again and my Facebook is awash with people making resolutions. Some of them are the usual 'get healthier' type and some are downright hilarity. Again, I haven't made a resolution. I don't see the point, though I have made some goals for this year which are pretty much aims from last year rolling over. Get my Green Card applied for. Get my GED - Need some form of acceptable education, I'm not uneducated by any ... Read More

YouTube ‘Guru’ – Kandee Johnson. Not all that she seems?

Posted by on Dec 31, 2011 in Shared, Thoughts | 0 comments

GuruGossip is a set of forums about YouTube 'Gurus' and discussions on how much we 'Love' or 'Hate' them. I'm a regular over there, though I rarely post in the "Rave about a Guru" section, I can be found lurking in "Trash a Guru" on a somewhat regular basis. There seems to be a LOT of controversy about Kandee Johnson recently, well I say recently I mean going back some time. I've got that particular forum bookmarked. I used to be a fan of hers, until some things she said didn't quite add up and ... Read More

Christmas is over, finally!

Posted by on Dec 27, 2011 in Life of Mine | 0 comments

I'm exceptionally glad Christmas is over, not because I'm a Scrooge or unhappy with it, I'm just glad to be able to get my house back to normality. For too many weeks wrapping paper was the feature, I was finding erroneous scotch tape and re-taping bows to presents. My dining-room was piled high and there was a constant influx of more gifts to be wrapped. I wrapped all my soon-to-be-mother-in-laws gifts as well as mine, she is a very busy woman so it was only right. I should open a gift wrapping ... Read More

Media Moments

In today's world the slightest bump in the road in someone's life usually results in a mess of litigation or media frenzy. Too many people feel the way to resolve conflict is via a court room or talking to the press. This blog is about the latter. I read an article last night in my Fox News feed about a New Hampshire couple who's 8-year-old child suffers from Batten disease and their experience with Southwest Airlines. I thought nothing of the article initially, put away my iPod and went to sleep. ... Read More
